Who is Cecilia Claiming? @ravenmcallan @evernightpublishing #newrelease

When Mik invites me on to her blog as a guest, I do a little chair swivel. We're both unable to eat gluten, love red wine and chocolate and appreciated the naked form…

(Mik: That is so true LOL!)

And believe you me we've got plenty of naked, er forms in this story. After all Cecy does have two lovers…

(Mik: Love this cover!)

Everyone agreed the Brigstock family was unconventional. Just how unconventional could be somewhat of a shock...
Take Cecilia for example. She may have turned her men down once, but will she have the resolve to do it again?
Cecy's willpower is never strong when she's around Caleb or Philippe, and now she needs them to keep her safe. They intend to stick close to her, so surely a little dalliance is acceptable? The problem is a little is not enough for any of them, but can they all agree just on what form the 'more' should take?

A wee tease…

March 1815. London, England.
Cecilia hummed to herself as she let herself in through the narrow door at the back of the elegant town house. Caleb Jefferies, Lord Haytor wasn't expecting her, but this route was their way of seeing each other without the eyes of the ton on them. She closed the door behind her and hung her cloak on a convenient hook. As she smoothed her silks over her hips, a tremor of excitement ran through her, sending a gush of liquid to coat her thighs. Every time she thought of Caleb, of his hard male body next to her, and his cock erect and ready to fill her, the hairs on her arms stood on end. The sensations she felt as he fucked her were like nothing else, and she knew she would never get enough of them.
Except… A thought of another hot male body flickered through her mind, to be firmly quashed. That particular memory had no place in her present.
Her body was so hot, it was as if an inferno washed over her, and Cecy fanned herself with her hands. She could only pray he would be at home. It wasn't as if she could walk up to the front door and ask.
She ran up the stairs and opened the door at the top. With hindsight the noises she heard from within should have warned her.
The sighs and moans made her quim contract. The sight made her moan and take a step back. Surely she wasn't excited? Her body told her otherwise. Her heart beat so fast and loud it was a wonder the two men she regarded didn't hear it. However the fact each had their cock thrust in the others mouth and their eyes closed probably rendered her invisible and unheard.
*****
Writing this series in conjunction with Lee Brazil is a fabulous experience. We both love the Regency era, and this series, Behind Closed Doors was plotted over tequila (Lee) and gin (me). We're having so much fun, and even though each book is stand alone, you will meet some friends from other books here and there.
Once we'd fleshed—*snigger* fleshed…oh yes lots of flesh—out the series we started to write. There's been some odd facebook conversations I can tell you. The house and village in the first two books do exist, and I was able to send pictures. The local museum were really helpful as well…
As for animals on Dartmoor, Dartmoor Gaol and its inmates…well I just had to go and visit…It's a perfect excuse isn't it… travel for research, I wonder if it's tax deductable?

(look out for the books set on islands in the Indian Ocean…)

Raven lives in Scotland, along with her husband and their two cats—their children having flown the nest—surrounded by beautiful scenery, which inspires a lot of the settings in her books.
She is used to sharing her life with the occasional deer, red squirrel, and lost tourist, to say nothing of the scourge of Scotland—the midge.
A lover of reading, she appreciates the history inside a book, and the chance to peek into the lives of those from years ago. Raven admits that she enjoys the research for her books almost as much as the writing; so much so, that sometimes she realizes she's strayed way past the information she needs to know, and not a paragraph has been added to her WIP.
Her lovely long-suffering husband is learning to love the dust bunnies, work the Aga, and be on stand-by with a glass of wine.
