Each writer always has a different take on the picture, but can something meaningful be crafted in 100 words? Well that is always the challenge. Here is mine so you be the judge.
This spot inspection caught all the inmates unawares. They heard the clip-clop of the Warden's heels coming up the stairs. Dry throated prisoners stood waiting, tense and excited. Maybe one of them would be picked for 'Special Duty.' Would she want blond, dark, fair, tall or small? Random were her choices, so guessing was no point. She was wearing her favourite fragrance, it wafted to them in this airless space, enticing, memorizing and making them rock hard – just like she liked them. Only one hung his head. The prisoner at the end – he had been chosen – last time.
